Huge thanks to Suzanne, of The Curious Wolf, for hosting the Writing for Wellbeing workshop. Such an enjoyable and informative evening,
spent in really lovely company. This proved to be both thought provoking and motivating.
This workshop is the ideal catalyst for self improvement/self awareness and future goal setting. I would highly recommend to all. I don’t doubt each individual shall take different lessons from this workshop; but each shall leave being motivated to feel gratitude for their current life/situation, the ability to see situations through more positive eyes, and encouraged to make more effort to ensure our individual happiness.

I have been teaching writing for 20+ years and have taught thousands of students. I know what works, I know where the blocks are, and I know how to help you overcome them. I will enable you to fully believe in your ability to write.
My approach is truly bespoke to you. Just as every piece of writing is different so to is every writer and the approach that they take to connecting with their creativity. I will help you to find and develop your unique narrative voice.
I LOVE what I do. Each day is genuinely a delight and nothing lights me up more than seeing the look on your face when you feel truly amazed by what you have just created. For the discoveries you make during writing for wellbeing sessions and for the writing you create in any of the genres I work with - I applaud you for being on this journey.
I used to love creative writing at school, making up stories & characters is fun so when this masterclass popped up as an option it was an instant yes to join in.
Opening up the creative & unlimited possibilities isn’t something I tend to do so much in my adult life, I’ll definitely be creating & expanding more on the character I started.
A really enjoyable & fun session!

The Musings of The Curious Wolf
Journalling has become increasingly popular over the last five years. The effects on wellbeing are irrefutable as it provides a vehicle for processing thoughts and emotions in a safe and contained space.
It can help to externalise anxious thoughts, put them into words and then set them aside rather than have them chattering away in our heads in ever decreasing circles. We've all heard the advice for insomnia - keep a notepad next to your bed to write down the thoughts that are keeping you awake; cultivating a habit of journalling is an extension of this core practice.
Connection is one of the core pillars of The Curious Wolf, it can be divided into two distinct areas: connection with the self and connection with others. We believe both to be essential for strengthening mental health and building the resilience that we all need to cope with the constantly changing world that we are living in.
When you are more deeply connected with your inner self, you will have a greater ability to process thoughts and to reflect rather than react. Understanding why we behave the way that we do, why we think the way that we do and why we respond the way that we do is the first step to becoming more in control of our behaviour, of being able to choose how we respond, and it is liberating, truly.
Bringing journalling into our day is a habit that can have a profound effect. It's one of the simplest habits to start as there are no wrong ways to do it.
But, how do we join this connection with the self with connection with others, I hear you ask? Well, that's where our event - Gin & Journalling comes in!
It is the perfect fusion of mixology and mindfulness. This unique experience combines the delights of gin appreciation with the therapeutic practice of journalling, offering a delightful way to unwind and express yourself.
You are taken through three light-hearted journalling practices which will give you insight into your own mind but will also bring great connection with those who choose to share their thoughts. We find that people do always choose to do this. It's hard to put into words how wonderful the feeling is when people you know, or don't know, suddenly articulate the exact worry or doubt you've been feeling. That is connection: connection on a deeper level that makes you feel relaxed and feel that you belong, all in the blink of an eye.
I was delighted when Carol from Ellis Gin suggested running these events together as I'm pretty partial to their gin and I love the ethos behind their brand. Have you heard of the Ellis Bee Hotel? No, ah, well, I'll leave that for another day but here's a little hint - Rum & Writing - like the sound of it?
So, what is included in our Gin & Journalling events?
Craft Cocktails: Explore the history of Ellis Gin with us and learn how to mix delicious gin cocktails. Perfect for gin enthusiasts and aspiring mixologists (non alc versions are also available).
Boost Wellbeing: Engage in a transformative mindful activity that promotes emotional processing and self-reflection, all while enjoying - what will become - your favourite spirit!
Laughter: - Laughing is absolutely guaranteed! When we ran the soft launch of this event at Ellis Gin HQ we laughed all night! We were still laughing whilst clearing up the next morning - it was an absolute joy to be part of and the feedback was resoundingly glowing.
Our Gin & Journalling workshops offer a unique way to elevate your spirits, providing everything you need for a sophisticated and highly enjoyable evening - where every sip inspires a new thought, and every page turns into a memory.
We are keen to bring this event to other areas: private parties, Christmas get togethers, corporate away days - anywhere where connection is valued and laughter is a must. Contact me at: [email protected] to find out what we can do for you. Or, if you have a venue in mind that would be perfect fit, let me know - we are keen to take this event on tour!
People are lonelier than they've ever been and we want to do something to combat this. When we feel isolated, misunderstood, invisible, we experience anomie - a lack of belonging and disconnection from society or from colleagues. Journalling is a start in righting this and our Gin & Journalling events are a fabulous light hearted way to take that first step.
The effects are long lasting - the initial joyful experience develops into a deeper sense of belonging. Cheers!
