Hey there, I'm Suzanne - Founder of The Curious Wolf!
I help people to connect with their inner creativity to enhance their feelings of
self worth and positivity towards their journey through life.
2019: A New Beginning
Much as I loved teaching at Wellington School, I felt an overwhelming desire to change my career. I handed in my notice with plans to leave teaching completely at the end of the 2020 academic year.
My plan was to create a community around creative writing with connection at its heart.
2020: The Pandemic Hit
My plans had to change as we entered lockdown. My husband, Richard, and I also had a wedding stationery business - Com Bossa - and so we pivoted that to create a greeting card business - Com Bossa Studio - to provide an income whilst weddings were off. This was a life saver!
2023: I launched The Curious Wolf
Weddings were back and our new stationery business was on an even keel - the time felt right to bring The Curious Wolf to life!
I ran my first Creative Writing workshop in Glasgow for the Glasglow Girls' Club takeover of the St. Enoch Centre in September 2023.
2024 & beyond: My business is growing considerably
So far this year . . . I was contacted by both Snook and Barclays to run corporate sessions for them.
I started working as a writing mentor to some amazing writers.
I ran Writing for Wellbeing workshops and individual sessions.
I launched Creative Connections: Embark in my community and ran the first course in June.
I was approached by Ellis Gin to run Gin & Journalling sessions with them - such a hoot!
I launched Book Strategy Sessions to help people create a structure and plan for starting their books.
I'm excited for all that's to come!

Hi Suzanne, I hope you are doing well! I just wanted to say a wholehearted thank you for being such a wonderful teacher in my sixth year, you really sparked such a love of English in me and that love of English is something I have carried with me through all four years of university.
Those four years have now led to me being accepted into the University of Oxford for an MSt in Creative Writing - you were always right that I would end up doing English instead of Film by the end of my degree!!
I just really wanted to let you know because I have always viewed you as an extremely important influence on me in my final year of secondary school and I wanted you to know how much I appreciated you as a teacher, I couldn't have done it without you 🙂
And the best of luck with launching the business!! With you at the helm it's bound to be fantastic 🌟.
Who am I?
I developed a love for Creative, Reflective & Persuasive Writing during my 20 year teaching career where I specialised in teaching this art form to Advanced Higher students.
Leaving this career to develop new businesses led to a journey of self-discovery, positive psychology and mindset and this, combined with the urge to continue teaching and be immersed in the world of writing never left me and so, late in 2023, The Curious Wolf was born.
What drives me, is my passion for seeing the transformation in the people that I work with that an immersive and interactive workshop on Creative Writing or Writing for Wellbeing brings - the increase in confidence, the delight in their eyes when they realise the ability within and the progress that can be made in a short space of time.
In my down time I can often be found walking my two lurchers, Rudi & Pixie, or talking about them, or taking photos of them . . . .
That, or drinking wine - I can often be found drinking wine. Cheers!
And so to the future . . . . so many exciting plans,
collaborations and projects!
