GRATITUDE

A Gratitude Practice & and an introduction to Sensory Writing.

  • We will examine different tried and tested ways to bring a strong gratitude practice into each day - even if time is short.

  • We will work on a variety of journalling prompts that can be used as a template to illustrate how journalling can be brought into the everyday.

  • Sensory writing will be introduced and real life options will be given of how to use it in a variety of ways for wonderful end results.

JOY

Creating Joy Lists & Reframing Unhelpful Thoughts.

  • Joy lists are a joy to create! Sometimes we can lose sight of what brings us joy in a myriad of ways - this session will bring these glimmers and moments of joy to the forefront.

  • Metacognition is the first step to reframing unhelpful thoughts. When we know what they are we can examine how to look at them in a different, more helpful, way.

STRENGTH

The Strength Wheel

  • Getting to the heart of who we are is at the core of all of these sessions. The strength wheel is an excellent way to see at a glance, and then to delve deeper, into where our strengths are and where the areas that we would like to develop are.

  • Key word journalling will help us to hone in on the perceptions and beliefs around these strengths. interesting discussions will abound!

POSITIVITY

Positive Reminiscence and

the creation of a Positivity C.V.

  • The act of savouring is intended to increase both

    the duration and intensity of positive emotions, reminiscing about past positive events will provide the way to feel these emotions quickly.

  • We will then move onto creating a positivity C.V., as I like to call it, where we will bring to the front of the mind our life experiences and personal triumphs that we may have forgotten about in the hustle and bustle of daily life.

PERSONAL CONTROL

The Sphere of Personal Control & Adaptive Coping Strategies.

  • Using the feeling wheel, we will firstly see how we can take greater control of the emotions that we are feeling.

  • We will then move onto the sphere of personal control to really see that which we can control, that which we have influence over and that which we can have absolutely no control over whatsoever. It's truly liberating!

  • Finally, we will build resilience through looking at the four key areas of focus for our adaptive coping strategies.

BOUNDARIES

The Five Dimensions of Self Care & The Seven Types of Boundaries.

  • Splitting self care into five key areas helps us to visualise where we are prioritising and which areas would benefit from having a little more time and thought.

  • Often we can find that our own self care comes long after all that we do for others. Recognising that boundaries aren't only necessary but that they also enable us to actually give of ourselves more fully is a game changer!

I am flexible in my approach to running workshops in both content and delivery.

The sessions outlined above may be of interest to you or you may be interested in different area - I will create something that is bespoke to your needs. The sessions can be run individually, over the course of a few weeks/months, or as half day/full day workshops.

Interactive & Intuitive

My workshops are interactive and I bring to the forefront my 20+ years teaching experience to intuitively question all participants.

Everyone will be involved, actively, and will be fully in the present for the duration of the session. The benefits to mental health of being in the present, alone, are really quite outstanding.

Workshop(s) Creation

I will then build out your workshops exactly as discussed. Each staff member will receive a printed copy of the key ideas of the session so that they will have takeaways to build on after the session ends.

I have 20+ years of teaching experience and so you can feel fully reassured that I will create an effective, engaging session that will be delivered timeously and professionally, with a few laughs thrown in.

I’m Suzanne, founder of The Curious Wolf.

I developed a love for Creative, Reflective & Persuasive Writing during my 20 year teaching career where I specialised in teaching this art form to Advanced Higher students.

Leaving this career to develop new businesses led to a journey of self-discovery, positive psychology and mindset and this, combined with the urge to continue teaching and be immersed in the world of writing never left me and so, late in 2023, The Curious Wolf was born.

What drives me, is my passion for seeing the transformation in the people that I work with that an immersive and interactive workshop on Creative Writing or Writing for Wellbeing brings - the increase in confidence, the delight in their eyes when they realise the ability within and the progress that can be made in a short space of time.

In my down time I can often be found walking my two lurchers, Rudi & Pixie, or talking about them, or taking photos of them . . . .

O1. How long is each session?

The individual workshops listed above are 60 minutes in length each. They can be combined in any way of your choosing to create 90 minute sessions, half day workshops and full day workshops. The same session can also be run multiple times on the same day to different groups of staff. I am very flexible and keen to meet your staff enhancement needs.

02. How is the content delivered?

I can deliver the sessions in person or online. I am based in Scotland but I'm always happy to travel and don't add travel costs to my prices for travel with the UK.

03. Can we talk through some ideas?

Absolutely! Book in for a chat and let's work on putting together a session that is a perfect fit for your organisation.

04. Do you deliver the sessions?

Yes, I am The Curious Wolf - I personally deliver all sessions.

05. Do you have a price list?

Just as soon as we have chatted about what you are looking for I will send you a proposal document with a range of prices for you to choose from. My prices are competitive and include optional stationery upgrades.
